Descriptional
aspects
There are three essential aspects or views of any model description: the behavioral aspect , the structural aspect, and the timing aspect. The description of these three aspects implies the use of different language mechanisms and different modeling techniques.
Below you will find three kinds of presentations focusing on:
VHDL offers a wide spectrum of mechanisms which allow the designer to decribe the functions and the behaviour of the circuits and systems
VHDL provides hierarchically structured descriptions based on the notion of entities and components and their interconnections (signals)
VHDL introduces the simulation time required to describe the behaviour of the circuits and systems according the temporal axis
